BT: Butterfield Adult Training

Units from around the council are welcome to join the Butterfield Trail District for their adult leader training weekend. This weekend will offer the BALOO and IOLS courses for pack and troop leaders alike.

 

BALOO (Basic Adult Leader Outdoor Orientation)

Learn the essentials to safely lead outdoor activities for Cub Scouts, including camping skills, campfire safety, cooking, and health guidelines. This training is required for Cub Scout pack overnight events.

 

IOLS (Introduction to Outdoor Leader Skills)

Gain hands-on experience with essential outdoor skills for Scout BSA leaders. Learn knot tying, campsite setup, outdoor cooking, navigation, and other skills needed to guide Scouts through rank advancements from Tenderfoot to First Class. Why Attend? These trainings are required for leaders to plan and lead safe, exciting outdoor Scouting adventures.
