Camperships

Camperships: Making Summer Camp Accessible for All Scouts

At the Natural State Council, we believe that every Scout should have the opportunity to experience the joys and life-changing adventures of summer camp. Our Camperships program is designed to provide financial assistance to Scouts and their families by covering a portion of the registration fees for summer camp. Whether your Scout is new to camp or returning for another exciting summer, our Camperships ensure that cost is not a barrier to having a memorable and enriching camp experience.

How It Works:

Camperships are available to Scouts who demonstrate a need for financial support. This scholarship can help reduce the cost of camp registration, making it easier for families to send their Scouts to camp. To apply, simply fill out the Campership application form, providing details about your family’s financial situation and your Scout’s camp goals. All applications are reviewed, and awards are distributed based on need and availability of funds.

Who Can Apply:

  • Scouts in a Scouts BSA troop, crew, or in the Lone Scout program.
  • Families who may require financial assistance to cover camp costs.

Application Process:

  1. Complete the online Campership application form.
  2. Submit your application before the designated deadline.
  3. Await notification of your award decision.

Why Apply for a Campership?

  • Affordable Summer Fun: Camperships help reduce the financial burden of sending your Scout to camp.
  • A Life-Changing Experience: Summer camp offers Scouts a chance to develop new skills, make lifelong friends, and grow in confidence.
  • Inclusive Opportunity: We aim to ensure that every Scout has an equal opportunity to participate, regardless of financial background.
