Ready to help Scouts reach new heights? Whether you're a seasoned climber or just starting your journey, this Climbing Instructor Training will give you the skills and confidence to safely lead and support climbing and rappelling programs in your unit or district.

During this hands-on weekend, participants will gain practical knowledge in:

• Climbing and rappelling techniques

• Proper equipment use and safety protocols

• Belay systems and knot work

• Climbing site setup and management

• Risk assessment and emergency procedures

• Teaching techniques for instructing youth

 

This course is designed to align with Scouting America climbing standards and prepare adult leaders to assist with or lead climbing events.
