Training
Every Scout deserves a trained leader!
One of the keys to a successful Scouting experience for young people, second only to the selection of the right person for each responsibility, is trained volunteer leadership. Leadership training provides adult leaders with fundamental information about the aims and methods of the movement, as well as specifics about their particular roles in Scouting.
For this reason, the Quapaw Area Council is committed to providing top quality training opportunities for leaders, parents, and Scouts at the district and council levels. Through these efforts, the delivery of a better and quality Scouting program can be provided to our entire youth membership.
Whether you have been a Scout leader for decades or you just joined, training, offered online, through the National Boy Scouts of America website, and in-person throughout the council, ensures that adult leaders, parents, and community supporters are fully prepared to deliver the best program possible to the Scouts of the Quapaw Area Council.
Training Every Adult Needs
Every adult leader in Scouting must complete Youth Protection Training (YPT). Completion of this course is mandatory, and it is an essential training to ensure that all young men and women in the Scouting program have safe opportunities to advance and enjoy it!
