The District Committee serves as the leadership and strategic planning body for the Butterfield Trail District. This monthly meeting brings together all committee chairs, charter organization liaisons, key volunteers, and district professionals to coordinate the delivery of quality Scouting programs across the district.
Meetings focus on:
-
Program Planning & Oversight: Ensuring the successful execution of district events, training, and advancement opportunities.
-
Membership Growth & Unit Service: Supporting new unit development, recruitment efforts, and health of existing units.
-
Fundraising & Fiscal Management: Coordinating Friends of Scouting, product sales, and event fundraising to fund district operations.
-
Leadership Support & Recognition: Recruiting, training, and recognizing district-level volunteers and unit leaders.
This is a working meeting where key decisions are made to support Scouting in our region. It’s also a time for collaboration, idea-sharing, and accountability to ensure we meet the needs of every youth, leader, and unit in the Butterfield Trail District.
If you serve as a district chair, committee lead, commissioner, or charter organization liaison, your active participation is vital to the success of our Scouting movement. Guests and prospective committee members are always welcome.
Together, we make Scouting happen—from the ground up.
