• Safety Standards and Procedures
Participants learn BSA-approved safety protocols, equipment use, inspection guidelines, site management practices, and emergency procedures to ensure all climbing activities meet national standards.
• Technical Climbing Skills
The course covers belaying, knot tying, anchor systems, rappelling setup, climbing commands, and risk management. Trainees gain both theoretical and practical experience on real climbing structures.
• Teaching and Supervision

• BSA Climb On Safely and Age-Appropriate Guidelines
The training reinforces BSA policies regarding supervision requirements, youth protection, skill progression, and appropriate activity levels for each age group.
Upon completion, participants will be prepared to support or lead climbing programs at council events, unit outings, and camp activities in alignment with Scouting America safety expectations.
