OZ: Ozark District Adult Leader Training
Completion of the BALOO course is mandatory for a MINIMUM OF ONE adult on a Pack overnighter. BALOO training includes an introduction to outdoor camping skills as well as important BSA rules and policies to be followed on any Cub Scout campout.
Introduction to Outdoor Leader Skills (IOLS) gives adult leaders the practical knowledge they need to help Scouts to learn outdoor skills. The skills presented closely follow the Boy Scout Handbook and rank advancement requirements. All the skills from Tenderfoot to First Class are covered in this training. This is a required training course for all Scoutmaster and Assistant Scoutmasters. It is also encouraged for anyone who will be participating on campouts regularly to consider taking this class. The training is designed to help all adult leaders regardless of experience level feel comfortable performing and supervising these skills with youth.
- Participants - $35 includes all meals on Saturday and Sunday breakfast. .
- Tag-a-longs – Wolf rank or higher, Includes all meals on Saturday and Sunday breakfast.
- Adults Volunteers - $25 includes all meals on Saturday and Sunday breakfast.
- Youth Volunteers – (Second Class or higher) $25 includes all meals on Saturday and Sunday breakfast.
- T-shirt is $10 before October 14th, then no t-shirt option available
