National Youth Leadership Training @ RSTC
National Youth Leadership Training (NYLT) 2026
Prepare Today. Lead Tomorrow.
Weekend 1: March 13–15, 2026
Weekend 2: April 17–19, 2026
What is NYLT?
National Youth Leadership Training (NYLT) is an action-packed, hands-on leadership experience for youth leaders in Scouts BSA, Venturing, and Sea Scouts. This council-level training helps youth develop essential leadership skills through a fun, immersive, and team-focused outdoor environment.
NYLT brings to life the leadership skills taught in Wood Badge, presenting them in a format designed by youth, for youth. Over two weekends, participants engage in scenario-based learning, patrol teamwork, ethical decision-making, and communication challenges that strengthen their confidence and ability to lead their home unit.
By the end of the course, Scouts don’t just understand leadership—they live it.
